Q. What's with the lizard on the headstock of the guitar?
A. His name is Ralph, and he's become the band mascot. Ralph has been on Ray's guitar since the late 70's. He's been somewhat injured a few times as you can see, but he's a real trooper, and he never misses a show!

Q. How long has the band been together?
A. Vic Layne started the band way back in 1979 with our former bass player John Tate.

Q. Has the band ever opened for any major acts?
A. Yes, the band has opened for several big names, including Sam & Dave, Lesley Gore, Gary U.S. Bonds, Roy Orbinson, Rick Nelson, Sleep LaBeef, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Leon Russell, among others.

Q. Has the band played for weddings?
A. Absolutely! Over the years we've played many weddings, however we always encourage people to hear the band first, or listen to our CD, to know what we do, as we are NOT your typical wedding band. But, if you wish to have good party music at your wedding, or any other function, we're the ones you want!!

Q. What big names have you backed up?
A. We've backed up the legendary Jack Scott on several occasions at Wonderland Ballroom in Revere, MA, and the Marshfield Fair in Marshfield, MA. We've also backed up Little Joe Cook and Sleepy LaBeef. And interestingly, Vic Layne has played piano for Chuck Berry and more than a half dozen times over the years when Chuck has come to the New England area.

Q. Has the band recorded recently?
A. Indeed we have! We currently have our new CD, "It's About Time", available now through the website. You can also hear sound clips from the CD. Just click on the guitar neck where it says CD.

Q. Are your older recordings still available?
A. Yes, our previous material is available through Black Rose Records, and you can find it at this link. blackroserecords.net.
